Could it be?

I love to chew on my arm!

This mirror is yummy!

Mmmm...fingers.

Fingers sure are tasty!

More finger action.

Olivia is teething! Yikes! It is AWFUL! She is moody, cranky, fussy, and just plain miserable! Poor little thing. You can totally tell her mouth hurts. Last night she had a fever of 101.7 and still had it this morning, so we made a trip to see good old Dr. Johnson (used to be Williams). She checked O's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth....all in excellent condition. Diagnosis: teething. I paid $20 for someone to tell me what I already suspected. However, it was great to hear that she was not sick and that everything else looked great. What I need to know is how do I make her feel better?

Frozen or refrigerated teethers? HATES THEM!
Cold wet washcloths? HATES THEM!
Orajel: LOVES IT!

I have come to realize that Olivia hates anything cold. She will NOT drink cold formula no matter how hungry she is. She won't even hold a cold washcloth. But it is all I can do to keep the washcloth out of her mouth during bath time. Hm....what a particular little girl. Thank goodness for Orajel. That is the ONLY thing that seems to be working. So, anyone have any other ideas? Just incase you were wondering, I have also been giving her Tylenol every 4 hours to make her comfortable. HATES IT!

I use Hyland's teething tablets. They dissolve on their tongue, and the main thing is they are supposed to help them "rest." I don't really think it's about pain, but it's when they get restless and can't sleep. I've used them, but I can't say for sure it's the tablets that help or everything else I've given her out of desperation, too.

hey kel, one of the babies at the daycare uses those tablet things too, but the mom dissolves them in the baby's bottle first... my advice is pray for patience b/c this is not a fun time! (at least from my babies experience at work :)
love you!

Hey Kelly and Eric,
I love catching up with you on your blog...have to admit you're on my list of friends I blog-stalk! I am sorry I am not a big commenter--which is terrible because I complain that no one comments on mine:)
We need to get the girls together for a playdate now that Olivia is sittin' up! She is growing so fast! Hope to talk to you soon.
