The best friends and family

I had the most wonderful birthday this year!  I truly felt loved by everyone close to me!  All of the gifts I received were awesome for many reasons, but they were very special because they all took thought.  They were all things that my friends and family knew I would love!  I want to just list them out and tell why I appreciated them!  In no particular order:

1.  The video from my husband Eric: The best and most thoughtful gift EVER!  For those of you who know me, you know I am not materialistic.  I don't care how expensive something is, if it is not something that you put thought into, I am not impressed.  This was completely free, but so incredibly up my alley.  Eric nailed it!

2.  A new set of nonstick pans.  Although this gift meant I actually have to cook dinner for my family, they were needed and not something on which I wanted to spend my own money.  Thanks MOM!  :)

3.  A decorated van.  My friend broke into my van (OK, she got the keys from Eric) and went to town with confetti, streamers, balloons, a banner, tiara, etc. INSIDE the van.  She also decorated the outside with balloons and "birthday girl" writings all over the windows.  This took time and effort!  LOVE it!

4.  Lunch and a gift card to get a pedicure!  Needs no explanation...just plain awesome.  :)

5.  A very awesome shirt that I absolutely LOVE!  I actually got to pick this one out myself, but my friend was proud of my choice.  She is helping me become fashionable!!

6.  SWEETS!  An absolutely GINORMOUS Reese Peanut Butter Cup cake!  To die for.  AND...not one, but TWO cupcakes from Gigi's:  a red velvet cupcake and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate chip cream cheese frosting!  Ladies, you rock!  :)

7.  Gift cards!!  So fun!  Kohl's (LOVE looking at their "home" section) and Maggiano's (our FAVORITE date night restaurant!).

8.  A fun cup with a straw that I can use for water!  It has the big 3-0 on the front of it and is just a very fun cup!  I have always wanted one of those things but never wanted to buy one for myself...now I have one and LOVE it!

9.  Birthday cards in the mail!  I love love love getting mail!  I got a lot of cards this year!  I even got a baseball card from when our pastor used to play for the Astro's!  His wife sent me a card with $1 and the baseball card.  How fun is that??

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who gave me a gift, sent me a card or text or email, or wished me a happy birthday in person!  I wholeheartedly enjoyed every second of my birthday!  Thank you for loving me!  And if you gave me a gift and I forgot to mention it, I should note that I am on a complete sugar high from the Reese cake and cannot even think straight...I mean...I'm sorry!  :)
