Allow me to vent. Olivia slept through the night starting at 3 months and continued to do so night after night until about 9 months. Then all of a sudden she started getting up a few times a night. What in the heck?!? Is it her teeth? Separation anxiety? What? I am really getting frustrated. She pretty much refuses to nap or go to bed nicely. It is a constant battle. What am I supposed to do? Any suggestions? Take tonight for instance. I put her to bed around 8:20, she cried for about 5 minutes, and was out. Success! Or so I thought. 11:15 rolls around and she is screaming at the top of her lungs. I let her cry but she doesn't quit. So, I pick her up and cuddle her. She falls asleep. I put her back....WAAAHHH! We go through this for TWO HOURS and she is FINALLY (I hope) asleep for good. What on earth is going on with my child?!? I love her dearly but I am not at all excited to see her in the middle of the night!!! And yes folks, it really is 1:25 a.m. right now. We REALLY need to sell our stinkin house so we can get a place of our own. Yep, still living with family. Anyone in Houston want a house? :)

Oh, Kelly, I hear ya! You're not crazy. Our doctor told us at our 9 month check-up that babies sleeping patterns start to change around then. Many start waking up during the night more and more. The move into a new place may also be adding stress to the situation. I have some sleep books that I would recommend if you want to read them.
Your daughter will sleep again. Have faith and hang in there. Many, many parents are walking right along side of you!
Oh Kel,
I can't even begin to understand being separated from my famiy with a child. I can understand being seperated from my husband, but my 4 short weeks pales in comparison. I'll be praying for your situation. Miss you, talk soon!

I know this is a really old post, but I'll comment anyway. Addison did the same thing about that age. When they learn new physical skills (crawling, walking) they have a harder time sleeping. If it makes you feel any better, Addison didn't sleep through the night until about 6 or 7 months. Then we started with crawling and walking!! It'll get better. It has to, right?
