We would like to share some awesome news with everyone! We are going to have another baby! Baby Comerford will be making his/her entrance into our family on/around October 25th! We are super excited and cannot wait to find out what we are having, which should be some time in June. Here's the story of how I told Eric.

I wanted to surprise Eric and give him a positive pregnancy test for his birthday (Feb. 14), but they kept coming up negative. I was bummed, but figured since it was our first month of trying that it was to be expected. So, on his birthday I broke the news to him about the negative tests. Well, then I realized I was about 5 days ahead of myself and it was too early. I didn't tell him, but a few days later I tested again. Olivia had followed me into the bathroom, so I thought I'd be clever and send her out of the bathroom with the positive test to take to Eric. I gave it to her and, not thinking, didn't put the cap back on the end. Naturally, it was headed straight to her MOUTH! NOOOO! I yelled and pulled it away. Of course this really made her mad and she wanted it back. All Eric could hear from the kitchen was "Take it to Daddy. NO! Don't put it in your mouth, take it to Daddy! No! Eww! Take it to Daddy." By that time Olivia was screaming and crying and fighting me for the test. I decided to give it to her, so she took it to Eric with tears streaming down her face. If anyone had seen it, it would have looked like she was just hit with the worst possible news ever! To make matters worse, when Eric saw what it was, he screamed really loudly and was jumping up and down. This completely scared Olivia to death, and she froze. Poor kid. Traumatized already and the baby isn't even here yet. :) We think she'll be a great big sister!
