Well, Eric and I made a trip to the Woodlands Hospital tonight. I thought my water was leaking, so we called the doctor. I was told to come in to get it checked out. So, around 8:30 we packed up the car and headed up there. We got right in and the nurse hooked me up to 2 monitors: one for Olivia's heart rate and the other for my contractions. It was really comforting to hear her heart beating. What was not comforting were my contractions!! They are really strong and painful now...and they are getting quite regular. They were every 5 minutes or so while we were in the hospital. The lady called them "mild" but I don't know what she was smoking because that is not the word I would use to describe them. :) She just kept saying over and over how "thin" I was and how that was a good thing. Apparently I am 90% effaced, but still only 1 cm dilated. She indicated that I may be in early labor. I kept trying to get her to say when she thought I'd deliver, but you know those people, they can never tell you for sure. :) She did make the comment that she didn't think I'd be late though, so that is nice. Turns out they like you to do most of your laboring at home if possible...so that is where they sent us...home. Eric is in bed now as we speak, and I just finished off the rest of the chocolate chip pancakes I made for breakfast this morning. I think it is going to be a long night...

Wasn't a false alarm at all! I'm so glad that little Olivia is finally here. She is so beautiful. Congratulations, "you guys"!
