Big girl bed!

In 5 weeks we will be celebrating the arrival of a new family member! We need the crib for the new baby, so we are beginning to transition Olivia from the crib to a big girl bed. We started by leaving the side rail down for a few nights. Then on Saturday we took it off completely This is what it looks like now. She has spent two nights and one nap in it like this, and all has gone smoothly. She did get up herself both mornings and played around in her room. She turned off her monitor and then came out to greet us. It was very cute. She didn't get out of bed after her nap, though. She called for us to come and get her. :) In about 2 weeks, we are going to swap out the crib for her new big girl bed, which is the full sized bed we have for guests.
