Olivia can also be called Houdini. She can get out of her car seat, out of the house, and now she has learned how to take those child locks off of the door knobs. Great. Here's a little story of what happened yesterday morning:
Knock, knock, knock. Where is this knocking coming from? Why am I hearing knocking this early in the morning? "Mommy, help!" "Mommy! Mommy! Help Daddy!" Olivia is running into our bedroom yelling this at me yesterday morning. Confused and groggy, I look at the clock and see that is it 7:15. I'm a little upset, as Saturday is my morning to sleep in. Eric had gotten up with Olivia at 6:30. Hm..wondering what is happening. Olivia then climbs into bed with me and starts playing. After a minute or two, I realize that Eric is not coming in to get her, which can only mean one thing. Putting all the clues together, I realize what has happened. Olivia has locked Eric out of the house. I climb out of bed and head toward the back door, only to find Eric standing out there in his boxers talking to Lupe.
I was definitely right. Eric had opened the back door to let Lupe (dog) out. She will NOT go potty unless you push her out into the grass. So as Eric is doing so, he hears a dreaded "click" behind him. He said he immediately knew what she had done. She had gotten a step stool, put it up to the door, and locked it. He tried for 15 minutes to coach her on how to unlock it, but no success. He was knocking to try to get my attention. He finally told her through the door to "go get Mommy to help" and she did. What a smart girl. :) What are we going to do with her?
Olivia LOVES playing with Bear and dollies!

I am glad I checked your blog out. Your Olivia stories are great! I thought my little toddler was the only one going through phases like this.
It's all over once they learn how to remove the child locks. Alanna's favorite thing is to unlock the front door, pull off the child lock, and then run outside....usually without clothes on. Although, I haven't been locked out...yet.
Hope the pregnancy is going well!
That is a great story. That Olivia is one smart girl! I laugh every time I read about one of her shenanigans.
